how i am obtaining the results:
as you should know by now, if you have been following the blog, my results are based on colour. this may affect my results greatly, so for a more accurate measure, instead of using a colour chart like these (shown below), on the eggs

i'll be determining the colour difference using the 'colour picker' tool in the paint program, using the photographs i took.

this tool will tell me the exact colours of the eggs in a particular spot. because i took the pictures uniformly (using no flash, eggs seated in exact same spot every time, camera seated in exact same spot every time), picking the spot to tell the colour difference would be quite simple. i only need to find the exact width and length of each picture and press the button. this will give me the hue, sat and lum (but because i have no idea what those terms really mean, i'm going to use the 'red, green and blue' side)

  1. I was just thinking... wouldn't different shots have different white balance, and therefor the colours be different. Maybe use manual and not auto. The lighting may also change as time passes, ie sun rises and sets.
that was just a thought. hope that helped. if it made you more confused, don't worry.

  2. the photos were taken indoors with windows and curtains closed, and just the make sure, the pictures were taken at the same time of day (only 120 hours later)

and if i used flash, the eggs would all turn white because the flash is too bright.

    but thankyou
